Hi friends,

Last year, I found myself staring at my calendar, overwhelmed by everything but writing. Between work, family, and the endless distractions of daily life, the idea of sitting down to write felt… impossible.

Then I met with some friends over Zoom and realized we were all struggling to find time to write. I decided the only time I could manage was during my lunch hour. So, to hold each other accountable, we agreed to get on Zoom and write together. The next day, we joined—no introductions, no small talk. Just a quick wave hello, mute the mic, and start writing.

What surprised me wasn’t just how much I got wrote, but how I consistently showed up and protected that time.

This group reminded me of something I often forget: writing doesn’t need perfect conditions. It needs space, commitment, and accountability. Sometimes, all it takes is 40 minutes to feel like a writer again.

I’m sharing this with you because maybe, like me, you’ve been waiting for that perfect moment to write. Spoiler: it doesn’t exist. But the Midday Writing Group is my way of carving out 40 minutes of the day just for writing.

If you’ve been struggling to find time to write, consider this your invitation to join us.

Here is the link to sign up, to get the Zoom details. I’d love to see you there. Invite your writer friends.

See you today at 1PM!
